• SMIORE gains mining lease

1960s:

• Public listing on the BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange)
• Set up the Vyasanakere Ferroalloy plant

1970s:

• Given up 2800 Ha iron ore bearing area to NMDC
• Extended ferroalloys capacity and added the production of Pig Iron, Ferromanganese, Ferrosilicon and Silicomanganese

1980s:

• The Company consolidated it's operations on mining and ferro alloys operations

1990s:

• Surrendered 1500 Ha for forest conservation

2000s:

• The Company plans for power self-sufficiency

2010s:

• 32 MW captive thermal power plant made operational
• Mining lease renewed until December 2033

2020s:

• The Coke Oven and Waste Heat Recovery Boiler plant fully commissioned
• SMIORE possesses two mining leases over an area of 2000 Ha. Estimated Manganese Ore reserves of 14 MT and 110 MT of Iron Ore
• The Company has obtained approval from MoEF&CC for the change in plant configuration and product mix for the Company's plant situated at Hanumanahalli Village, Hosapete Taluk, Vijayanagara District, Karnataka.
