Description : At the 75th Anniversary of Indian Bureau of Mines held on 1 March 2023 in Nagpur, the Ministry of Mines, Government of India has awarded 5 Star Rating to both the Mining Leases of the Company, for the year 2021-22.

Description : SANDUR SAMBHRAMA 2022-23 began on 7th of December which is the birth anniversary of Shri. M Y Ghorpade and culminated on the 18th of January, which is SMIORE day, the day (18 January 1954) on which the Company was incorporated.

Inauguration of Deogiri English Medium School

Description : SMIORE, as a part of its CSR initiatives has achieved a unique milestone of completing a 21,000 sq.ft. school facility at Deogiri in record six months time. The school accommodates 24 spacious classrooms along with science & English labs, library, administration, staff areas and all other necessary amenities.

Bhoomi Puja and Ground Breaking Ceremony

Description : Bhoomi Puja and Ground Breaking Ceremony of 0.3 MTPA Ductile Iron Pipe Plant, Blast Furnace, Sinter Plant, Power Plant & Associated Facilities were performed by His Holiness Jagadguru Pujya Sri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamiji of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam on 11 April 2022 at 6:45 am at New Project Site at Hanumanahalli Village, Danapur Mandal, Hosapete Taluk, Vijayanagar District, Karnataka.

National Safety Award (Mines)

Description : The Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India has awarded Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskar, National Safety Award (Mines) to the Company’s Deogiri Manganese & Iron Ore Mine for the year 2017 on 8 March 2022.

5 Star Rating Award

Description : At the 5th National Conclave on Mines & Minerals held on 23 November 2021 in Delhi, the Ministry of Mines, Government of India has awarded 5 Star Rating to both the mines of the Company. The Company has been receiving 5 Star Rating award from inception of this award by Ministry of Mines, Government of India in the year 2014 -15 and thereafter for the years 2015-16 till 2019-20.

Description : SANDUR SAMBHRAMA 2021-22 began on 7th of December which is the birth anniversary of Shri. M. Y. Ghorpade and culminated on the 18th of January which is SMIORE day, the day (18 January 1954) on which the Company was incorporated. This event is an annual forum for creativity, imagination, skills and talents to come alive over a period of 43 days. This long celebration aims to give an experience, a sense of belonging, a feeling of wellbeing and a forum for emotional, intellectual and spiritual growth. Various activities such as sports, cultural and social events were organised across all SANDUR group’s units and locations.
